Description | 5-Bromo-2-methylpyridin-3-amine is also named as 3-Amino-5-bromo-2-methylpyridine. It can be converted to 5-bromo-2-methyl-3-pyridinol by diazotization with sodium nitrite in aqueous sulfuric acid. 5-Bromo-2-methyl-3-pyridinol can be used to make brominated dihydropyridines, which are substrates for the palladium catalyzed coupling, a process to produce compounds for the treatment of patients with disorders, such as central nervous system disorders. |
